- Operator
- An employee or enthusiast of a P3chat-powered Web site who chats with visitors real-time by means of stand-alone Instant Messaging program of choice (MSN, Google Talk, etc.).
- Channel
- Analogous to the telephone lines (channels), it means how many simultaneous visitors single operator can chat with. For example, with 3 channels-per-operator, all messages from the first three visitors will come into operator's IM immediately, while the 4th visitor will wait until at least one channel is free.
- Department
- Groups operators together so that people who want to reach, say, sales or technical support will talk to the right specialist. Different site departments usually have different P3chat HTML code, button look-and-feel and other settings.
- Rules
- It's a possibility to initiate a chat with your site visitor automatically as soon as his/her behavior on site matches configured rules like time spent, number of pages visited or a particular page address. Note: for STARTER plan users, rules work during Trial period of 14 days. To continue using them after that period it is required to upgrade to any higher plan.
